Ramki Krishnan hosted last week and here’s his summary of the results.

We had 28 entries and 30 people voting for the contest. Thanks to Bhalchandra Pasupathy, Melissa McSeismal, Ratna Rao who voted though they had not set clues.

A note to new participants:
1) If you have set a clue, you MUST vote (and of course not vote for your own clue). Points will be deducted to setters who do not follow this rule.
2) Please use the same name while submitting your clue and voting, so that it is easier to do the check above.

And now on to the results!

As expected, a lot of clues themed around the recently concluded elections in India.
Close contest for 2nd and lower spots, but a runaway winner!

Outcome sure left both sides baffled (6) (Hmm.. possibly!)

Tie for 2nd place with 20 points each
Samit Kalyanpur with
Verdict: Hustlers condemned, after losing case (6)
Sowmya Ramkumar with another acrostic, election-themed clue
Outcome of recent elections shakes up legislature’s top leaders

And the winner with a whopping 40 points is
Ganesh Raman with his succinct clue
Bizarre rules lead to terrible outcome
