Raj Jayaram was our host this week and we had great participation with 40 clues and 44 voters allocating 440 points.

Raj’s summary of the results..

Thanks to all participants and voters.

“Listerine” seemed to be a popular product in this contest 😊

Topping the field with 40 points, was @lilygeller with “Gargling Listerine is tough”, deserving the No. 1 spot for the imaginative anagrind.

In 2nd place, @LowdownCryptic and Madhusudan H were not far behind with 38 points each for “About 50 entries? I will enter, rising to the challenge!” and “Strong hearts of oppressed civilians relenting” respectively. Credit to both for creative surfaces and to Madhusudan for the unique construction.

In 4th place with a succinct and effective anagram is Samit Kallianpur with “New ‘Listerine’ strong”.

And rounding off the top 5 is Diogeneb with “Tough English mum sheltered one after the end of war” – kudos for the clever use of “mum”.

Much appreciation to other participants too for their efforts.

Thanks again for the opportunity to host and, with that, I hand over the baton to @lilygeller

A huge thanks to Raj for hosting and a nice choice of word.

Congrats Lily! Your clue is now in our HALL OF FAME. Over to you for the next contest.

Notes: Some people did not vote, which is against the spirit of the game. In future, I request participants who may not be familair with our rules to take note and adhere to them..
