![]() Aashwina: Crosswords are a hobby that I have embraced after my retirement from active work life and they keep me occupied ( CCS and 1 Across ). The games in 1Across and SOTM/COTM have helped me brush my skills in setting as I appreciate the lovely clues and solves. I hope to set a grid on my own this year and I am working towards it !! |
![]() I set crosswords using the pseudonym “SARAL” for Col’s blog & for 1Across. As the name suggests, I’m a simple, peace loving person interested in crosswords, music ( esp carnatic), reading & drawing. My dad’s elder brother was a superb solver. I used to admire his speed at solving The Hindu cws.I guess I got this craziness for cws from him. All the best to 1Across in this year as we do our first group grid for Women’s day ! |
![]() Rachel: I have been solving crosswords for over 20 years but only started setting them a year ago. I set under the name Angel and my first published puzzle appeared in The Independent in December 2020. I am based in the UK and am a medical librarian, poet and editor. |
