Of the above, only 11 people (identified by an “asterisk *” next to their names) managed to submit all correct answers..

9 of those who submitted also managed to correctly identify the AMBIGRAM. Although Narayan and Ashit missed full scores on the grid, they did spot the Ambigram. On the other hand, Supriya, Raju, Ajeesh and Aashwina got full scores on the grid but missed the Ambigram. Except two respondents, all the others spotted the theme words correctly.

Without further ado, we are happy to declare that the winner of this puzzle is “Vasant Srinivasan”, since he was the first person to submit an all correct entry and also get all the responses to the questions correctly.

The puzzle received a “Good” rating from 10 solvers and a rating of “Excellent” from another 7. The clues that were picked most times as favorites were for “Amalgam”, “Impasse”, “Smother”, “Supermom” and “Hyde”.

This puzzle was  “The Oracle’s” tribute  to his mom as well as the moms at 1ACross. Thanks from all of us for such a lovely commemoration of Mother’s day.
