Kaustav Datta hosted last week and here’s his summary of the results.

We had some great clues this week, and it was nice to see so many clues for a word which has so many vowels.

In 5th place, we have Suyash Roongta’s ace clue!
Ace soldier captured by eccentric maniac (8) – 17 points

In 3rd place with 19 points each, we have a tie between Ganesh Raman, who was being a little cagey, with –
I’m in a cage, endlessly tortured by a sorcerer (8) – 19 points
AND

Sowmya Ramkumar with a great Spelling Bee champ surface –
Little child in America aiming high – one good at spelling? (8) – 19 points

In 2nd place we have Veera Raghavan, putting the con in conjuror, with:
Strangely, most imagine a conman initially as a wizard (8) – 20 points

And taking away the leading spot this week is Textrous, with a craftily modelled &lit –
Am I acting craftily to make model disappear? (8) – 31 points
