Samit Kallianpur hosted last week and here’s his summary of the results.
Thanks to all for taking part in this contest – for cluing and voting. Special thanks to Abhay Phadnis, Bhalchandra Pasupathy, Gayathri Viswanath and Ramesh Swaminathan for making the time to vote.
We had 19 clues in this contest, and we got to see some good wordplay and some smooth surfaces!
Although there was a tough fight for the top positions – for 2nd to 5th place, the winner led by a huge margin.
In 5th place, with 16 points each, we have a tie between N Anantakrishnan: “About criminal, copper and dead judge”
and
Venkatesan P: “Accountant adjusted / cut all expenses initially to make a projection”
In 4th place with 17 points, is Saurabh Upadhyay: “Judge, a tee-totaller, disappeared from old Indian city after hours”
In 3rd place is Satyen Nabar, with 19 points: “Work out in a club with all cute models”
In 2nd place we have Ramki Krishnan getting 21 points for “Design ring lined with copper at base”
The winner this week is a smooth clue by Textrous which got 31 points: “Tailor cut lace to clothe oddly lean figure”
