Fantastic concept and execution by Mathrix. Really appreciate how Mathrix is able to come up with many innovative ideas in each of his grids.

I was really stumped by this puzzle and found it quite challenging. Am so impressed by all our clever solvers who cracked it to perfection. In the test solve version, the code to crack also had to be cracked using the circled letters, but I felt that might make it too hard. Tell me what you think about that.

Here’s what our solvers said..

Name Comments / Feedback on the puzzle
Anantakrishnan N. Excellent puzzle
Jyothish Balakrishnan Top class. A great source of enjoyment.
Mona Sogal Absolutely enjoyed the brain exercise… loved the way the whole grid came together.. Although I had heard about Pig Latin had never understood it in this detail- now my granddaughter and I speak only in Pig Latin!!!Great show– keep more coming!
Mukundala Balasubramanyam Excellent puzzle
Sparsh Sinha Great puzzle. Thoroughly enjoyed
Veera Raghavan Nice, interesting puzzle. Must have been painstakingly set with entries in Pig Latin. Well done Mathrix!
Venkatesan P. Great idea. As per Pig Latin translation rule, as I understand, the Pig Latin words for WILE (1A), WALL(10A), WONDER(31A) and WEAR(1D) will be ILEWAY, ALLWAY, ONDERWAY and EARWAY respectively. As the author has mentioned in the preamble that the phonetic translation will always result in another common English word, I have entered the solutions for the above four words as AISLEWAY, ALWAY, UNDERWAY and AIRWAY.
Al Sanders Fun puzzle, nice clean grid
Bhalchandra Pasupathy Very interesting puzzle and a fun game element, one that I haven’t come across before. Good deception in clues. A comment to only a couple of them: For RANGE both meanings seem to imply the same, so not truly a DD? And couldn’t see how Turkey was relevant for TREVELYAN, not sure what I’m missing
Lakshmi Vaidyanathan Nice puzzle
Madhup Tewari A beautiful puzzle! Very enjoyable.
Nagendra Prasad R. FUN PUZZLE
Rathnakumar V Interesting
Sandhya Paruchuri Fun one!
Arvind Ramaswamy Very interesting themed grid. Loved it. Got stumped by 1A for the longest part. Guessed it but not sure the enum is right (from the reversal of the answer, the original enum, I think should be 6. Or maybe I missed out some special rule in Piglatin??) because of this one, one bonus q is also at stake. Also the Wall –> Alway not sure about the translation. But overall UPERSAY UNFAY UZZLEPAY
Koteswar Rao LIKED THE SECRET CODE
Max Jackson An idea I haven’t seen for a long time. Some nice convoluted clues. It’s not clear whether you want the letters from the circles or the original.
Narayana Swamy D Nice clues particularly 1a and 10a
Narayanan R Super grid and different one
Prakash Arumugam Delightful clues. Ankthay ouyay , ianyay
Ramesh Swaminathan Easy to begin with got challenging to complete. Fun concept “pig latin” took time to get used to it. Nice idea.
Ramki Krishnan Nice challenge.
Samit Kallianpur Very nice grid! Some good clues in there! Had to brush up my pig latin lol
Supriya Mithal Entertaining grid with an interesting concept ,many challenging but fair clues.
Tejas Siddharth Otnay uresay ywhay ethay itletay isyay illstay utbay everthelessnay anyay interestingyay uzzlepay. Owhay isyay ethay evelyantray inyay uestionqay, ouldn’tcay indfay anyway omfray urkeytay.
Venkatraghavan S Nice grid, although not a fan of Pig Latin myself. 🙂
