Gayathri Nath hosted last week and here’s her summary of the results.

Thank you all for participating with lovely clues. We had 20 votes and 24 people had voted. Though the winner had a clear lead , the 2nd , 3rd ,4th and 5th places were closely contested.

Here are the results

At 5th place we have Sowmya Ramkumar with 23 votes for her clue “Leave work after IT error shows up (6)”

We have Madhusudan at 4th place with 24 votes for his clue “On vacation, require taxi ride to retreat (6)”

N Anantakrishnan’s clue “About time I recuperate on vacation and stop working (6)” takes the 3rd place with 25 votes

In second place we have Textrous with 26 votes for “Arteries thinning at the edges sadly stop working (6)”

And the winner for this week’s contest is Suyash Roongta with 30 votes for his clue “Consumed by regret, I resolve to go away (6)”

Once again, thank you all for participating in the contest. Over to Suyash for the next word!!

NOTE: The Clue that appears last in the list originally scored 7 points from 4 voters and actually finishes at #14. The setter appears to have voted just as the contest closed and points had been deducted.  In future, request participants to kindly vote sufficiently before the deadline. (Update- Although it is normally not possible, by special request, this has been reversed in the system by Ananth Srinivasan who wrote this software).

SR: Thanks for the great hosting, Gayathri. Congrats Suyash. Don’t go away yet – your clue is now in our HALL OF FAME and you need to host our next contest.
