This week’s contest had 17 clues and 20 voters.

Qpheevr was our host and here’s his summary of the results.

Because everyone voted well in advance of the deadline, we were able to close the voting a little early this week (which is nice for me, because 10:00 IST is the middle of the night in my time zone). Thanks also to three people who hadn’t submitted clues but took the time to vote.

Here are our top five:

In fifth place is Amrita Majumdar’s tonsorial entry:

A bit of curly, long hair not regularly dyed can be bleached

In fourth place is Sowmya Ramkumar with the highest-scoring of several clues to use the RANCID HOTEL anagram:

Disinfected dirty rancid hotel (11)

In third place is Thejaswi Udupa with this cooperative clue:

Hector and Linda worked together, cleaned swimming pool

In second place is Adman_i, with:

Disinfected drip tank regularly contaminated with cholera (11)

And our winner this week, coming in ahead of the pack with 30 points, is Satyen Nabar with a satisfyingly devious use of the ambiguity of the word ‘like’:

Children at old complex like the swimming pools (11)

Many thanks to everyone who participated, and especially, as ever, to Sowmya for her guidance. Congratulations to all the winners, and over to Satyen for our next word!

SR: Thanks QPheevr and Congrats Satyen. Your clue is now in our HALL OF FAME.
