We had 29 clues submitted and 31 voters. 2 participants did not vote. Special mention and thanks to @usharameshnj, Max Jackson, R NAGENDRA PRASAD and Samit Kallianpur who took time to vote in the contest even though they had not posted clues.

Ramki Krishnan was our host and here’s his summary of the results.

Scoring 33 points, the winner is Textrous with a very natural surface

Natural disaster got a doc worried about the onset of fatalities (3,2,3)

Scoring 29 points, at 2nd place to Lowdowncryptic with a clue that pet lovers will relate to:

Piece of glass in processed cat food is a hazard (3,2,3)

Scoring 24 points, Ratna Rao’s long acrostic clue (easy to solve, but difficult to construct) gets 3rd place:

Tsunami perhaps , primarily affecting coastal towns, often fierce, getting overly destructive (3,2,3)

Scoring 20 points, at 4th place goes to Lakshmi V with another clue on cat food hazards

Cat food scattered around entrance of gate. It’s a disaster (3,2,3)

With 18 points, 5th place to Satyen Nabar

Terrible fog at dock – largely unexpected natural event (3,2,3)
