First of all, thanks everyone for participating in the contest. This might have been a tough one, but you folks came up with some amazing clues.

In 5th place, we have Maya Sharma at 24 points: Volatile yen works mostly in this city(3,4)

In 4th place, with 27 points, is Madhusudan H:

In 3rd place, with 28 points, is N Anantakrishnan: Liberal Kerry (not Republican) won this state

In 2nd place, with 38 points, just one point behind the winner, is Satyen Nabar: Where one might see extremely nimble Yankee in action? (3,4)

And the winner of this contest, at 39 points, is Ramki Krishnan: Notable banks operate around Yankee state (3,4)
