With an impressive batch of clues and voters vying to ADVOCATE for the best ones, it’s time to congratulate our winners!

In first place, N Anantakrishnan served an ace, securing 49 points with a timely tennis clue:
Essentially, Novak acted improperly for a champion (8)

The rest of our top five are separated from one another by only a point – it was a close fight to the finish!

In second place with 31 points, Suyash Roongta kept us up-to-date with the news:
Endorser of CAA voted out (8)

In third place with 30 points, Raj Jayaram submitted to the jury:
Lawyer surprisingly vacated top office (8)

In fourth place with 29 points, Ananth Srinivasan is the architect of this clue:
Redesign old vacated lobby (8)

In fifth place with 28 points, our intrepid organizer Sowmya Ramkumar brings us back to tennis:
Battling Covid, Australia had deported one champion (8)
