Lily Geller hosted this week and Here’s her summary of the results..

We had an impressive batch of clues for this week’s contest. Congrats to our winners!

With a whopping 60 points, first place goes to Madhusudan H with an acrostic that reads as smoothly as a newspaper headline:
Leaders of China open new trade route after cancelling Taiwan’s agreement (8)

In second, with 42 points, is Yossi Fendel’s concise clue which also has the distinction of being the shortest contest entry this week:
Abridge?! (8)

Third place goes to Mani Kadayam with 23 points:
Shrink to get in touch about core therapy (8)

Sharing 21 points and rounding out the top five are Debasmita Basu:
Shorten exposure to capture portraits, essentially (8)

And Satyen Nabar:
Negotiate with leader of Russia in meeting (8)

Thanks to everyone who participated in cluing and voting, and thanks as always to Sowmya for her efforts coordinating the contest.

Now over to Madhusudan for the next contest!

A huge thanks to Lily for hosting and a nice word choice.

Congrats Madhu! Your clue is now in our HALL OF FAME. Over to you for the next contest.

Notes: Some people did not vote, which is against the spirit of the game. In future, I request participants who may not be familair with our rules to take note and adhere to them..
