Stats: The puzzle page had 319 views and was attempted 159 times (lower than 234 last time). Seems to have been tougher than prior times since only 30 had submitted and 27 got the final XWordle correct. Some solvers did not submit in the blog.

Solutions:

THERE: T(-i+HER)E, Def Present, Replacement of I with HER in TIE

2 Women had resistance to Adam’s ale (5)

WATER: W ATE R, Def: Adam’s Ale

3 Each woman rarely on vacation (5)

EVERY; EVE + R(-arel)Y

4 Arabian ruler and woman joining Indian king (5)

SHEIK: SHE + I + K

5 Both sides welcoming first woman in party (5)

REVEL: R (EVE) L, R and L sides, with insertion of EVE for Party – Revel

6 The final XWordle

TALES

After solving the individual clues, these answers needed to be placed in the Grid correctly as below.

The grid had letter hints in the Pink Squares to help slot the answers. For eg, the V indicated, only an answer with V in the 2nd position could be in Place 1 (narrrowing down to EVERY).  The H and E indicated SHEIK or THERE had to be in the 2nd and 4th spots.  So, you had to solve the puzzle like a logic game to arrive at the correct spots for the answers. After doing that, you had to use the letters in Wordle colors, to find the correct answer which was “TALES”. The “Stories” in the title was an allusion to the Final XWordle
