Ganesh was our host this week and we had great participation with 42 clues and 44 voters allocating 440 points.

Ganesh’s summary of the results..

Looks like it wasn’t a tall order at all to set clues for TALL ORDER, as we finished with 42 entries. Here are the podium finishers:

In 3rd place, we have Samit Kallianpur with an elegant anagram set to a smooth surface – “Too much to ask?…Perhaps later, Lord! (4,5)”

In 2nd place, we have Hari Mannarsamy with a splendid telescopic clue – “Select all or deride some? It is a difficult ask! (4,5)” – perhaps also captures how one feels while voting for the 1ACCWC clue competitions

In 1st place, we have Satyen Nabar who has PUT IN a brilliant effort to come up with this sublime topical clue – “Alert old leader of Russia making unreasonable demand (4,5)”

Congratulations, Satyen! And over to you for the next clue.

Thank you all for participating and voting. And many thanks to Sowmya Ramkumar for coordinating this contest across Facebook and Twitter.

A huge thanks to Ganesh for hosting. It was a nice change to have a compound word to clue and a tall order to distribute just 10 points across so many good clues.

Congrats Satyen! Your clue is now in our HALL OF FAME. Over to you for the next contest.

Notes: Some people did not vote, which is against the spirit of the game. In future, I request participants who may not be familair with our rules to take note and adhere to them..
