1ACross is happy to present “Animal Crossing”, from “Hypatia”, exclusively for our solvers.

Answers can be submitted by anyone who wishes to participate, on or before EOD 19th Feb. 2022. All those who submit entries have a chance to enter our new leader board for 2022.

Annotations for the puzzle will be discussed at 1ACross on Sunday, Feb. 20th, 2022.

This a themed crossword. All clues that have an * next to them belong to a theme.

Excepting the two long solution words, these clues neither have definitions, enums nor are they placed in their correct slots.

After solving, the solver needs to identify and place the theme words correctly in one of the coloured theme slots. The “CROSSING” letters in some of the theme slots will assist in the process.
