Stats – We had a good response to the grid with 36 submissions.  Of those who submitted,  32 managed to complete the grid with zero errors and 31 got the maximum possible score of 155. Here’s the completed grid.

The solvers had to answer the following questions after solving the grid:

(1) Identify the theme

(2) List 5 theme words

The correct answers are

1) Christmas

(2)  DECEMBER, DIVINE, REINDEER, FATHER CHRISTMAS, PRESENTS, EPIPHANY, IMMANUEL, NATIVITY, MANGER, DASHER, CHESTNUT, SHERRY (Chestnut and Sherry were not in the original list that the setters had, but they agreed to award points for these too)

Grid Rating: The puzzle got a  good score of 8.5 and got 7 perfect 10s.

Top 3 Clues:  The most favorite clues were “DECEMBER” with 13 votes, “MANGER” with 10 votes and “NEARSIGHTEDNESS” and “HARD DISK/DISC” with 10 votes each.
