Stats – We had an excellent response to the grid with 42 submissions, a recent high. Of those who submitted, 31 managed to complete the grid with zero errors but only 5 got the maximum possible score of 166.

Here’s the completed grid.

The solvers had to answer the following questions after solving the grid:

(1) Identify the theme
(2) List any 5 theme words
(3) What are the two solution words without definition?

The correct answers are

(1) All the theme words (there are 10 in the grid) can have the term “GOLDEN” as a prefix.
(2) ANY 5 of OPPORTUNITY, EGG, TOUCH, BOOT, HANDSHAKE, YEARS, AGE, RULES, BRIDGE, WORDS
(3) YEARS AND AGE

Grid Rating: The puzzle got a  good score of 8.2 and got 7 perfect 10s.

Top 3 Clues:  The most favorite clues were “Pakistani” which got 13 votes and “Occupant”, “Opportunity”, “Cadaveric” and “Handshake” which got 8 votes each.

    Please reproduce the clues with the filled grid for the benefit of those who could not complete the puzzle. It would be that much easier to check and find out. Of course, for future Cw’s.
