Congrats to Sandhya Paruchuri (our first one in), Camelia Oberoi, Rengaswamy N, Arvind Ramaswamy, Thejaswi Udupa, Lahar Appiah, Raja, Guruswamy Nataraj, Ramesh J, Tulika Das, Iis Venky, Chitkala, Samit Kallianpur, Raju Umamaheswar, Raghavan S V, Koteswara Rao, Usha Mehta, R B Iyengar, Srividya T, Lata Muthanna, Arjun Mukerjee, Debasmita, John Chute and Ramesh SS.

The Clue was “Gripping funny satire about Romeo no-good (9)”. The Answer was “ARRESTING”. This is an “anagram” clue. Here,  you start with “funny satire” – funny is an “anagrind” indicating that you need to jumble the words next to it – i.e. Satire. This jumble is then “about” which means it goes around “Romeo (abbreviation for R) and finally there’s no-good (abbreviation for NG).

The annotation is {A(R)RESTI*}(NG). The Definition is “GRIPPING” which is a synonym for “ARRESTING”.

Once again, well done to each of you who not only solved it but also annotated it correctly in our blog post. Now, Can you solve THIS clue? Till next time, pip pip and toodle oo..

Can you solve this clue? If you got the answer, leave a comment in the blog. If you wish to know more about our book, please check out https://www.1across.org/book/cc2/ or BUY IT NOW at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XVRYYXT
