We had a good response to yesterday’s teaser and 15 people managed to register their right answers in the blog.

Congrats to John Smith (our first one in), Iis Venky, Thejaswi Udupa, Camelia Oberoi, Dhirendra, Samit Kallianpur, Guruswamy Nataraj, Krip Tik, Eddie Looby, Tulika Das, Raghavan S V, Koteswara Rao, Raju Umamaheswar,  R B Iyengar and Ranjani Srikanth.

The Clue was “Nothing different for a revolutionary plot (6)”.

Regulars who solve “The Hindu Crossword” might’ve been able to recognize the unmistakable imprint of the one and only “Gridman” in this clue. We are honored that he not only set for this collection using the pseudonym “Chatur Vasi” but was also one of the first to send his crossword in.

The Answer was “SCHEME”. This is a “Substitution” clue. Here,  you start with “Nothing different” which is another way to say “SAME”. Next, “For a, –>revolutionary” indicates that you need to substitute the letter “A” in “SAME” with “CHE” (a crossword abbreviation for “revolutionary”).

The annotation is S(-a+CHE)ME

The Definition is “PLOT” which is a synonym for “SCHEME”.

Once again, well done to each of you who not only solved it but also annotated it correctly in our blog post.

Now, Can you solve THIS clue?
