Tincture
Can = tin
Heal = cure
With bit of turmeric = t
Congrats for the posting the first correct answer:)
TIN C(T)URE
Bingo. You got it correct 🙂
Curcumin
Not sure how this annotates Srividya. Do try our next challenge 🙂
Calanthe- (can heal T)*- Medicine
Had to check about its medicinal properties
Well solved!
Very nice out-of-the box thinking Paddy. Almost works – especially the wordplay. It does miss out on the deceptive use of “Can” for “Tin” by the setter but the main reason it doesn’t work is that “Calanthe” can’t be defined as “medicine”. At best, the definition would have to say “medicinal plant” or something like that. In the grid itself, crossing letters would’ve helped to avoid any confusion.
TINCTURE – TIN + T in CURE
Yes. Right answer, but just missed the chance to post before we revealed the answers. A new challenge is up now. All the best.
